Sprint Distance Triathlon

SuperSprint and Sprint triathlons are ideal distances for those who are just starting out in triathlon. They are generally very fast, and elite triathletes are completing sprint distances in just over 50 minutes.

The distances vary for these races by country and event.

Generally, a Sprint triathlon consists of a swim (from 375 metres to 750 metres, a bike ride from 10 to 22 kilometres, and a run to finish, from 3 to 5 kilometres.

This distance is really good for those who want to get back into racing after a hiatus, or after an injury.

Training for any triathlon must be done carefully and gradually, especially if you are a first timer.

A bespoke training plan, including nutritional advice for both training and race day, and some 1:1 coaching sessions are included in my training packages.
